The entire continental United States, plus Alaska and Hawaii. Walk Score and Census coverage is best in urban and suburban areas. Business data is sourced from Google Maps and is most complete in populated areas. Dense city centers (Manhattan, SF Financial District, etc.) automatically use a denser query grid to capture more competitors.
Competitor data is sourced from Google Maps Platform (Places API), which is continuously updated by businesses themselves and Google's verification process. Closed businesses (permanently or temporarily) are automatically filtered out. In very dense urban zones (e.g., Manhattan central), we may not capture every single competitor due to Google's per-query result limits β when this happens, the report displays a clear notice. We recommend using the report as a strong starting point and validating key findings on the ground.

Medical specialties and pet services are not included. You can also select one secondary business type (from any category) to map indirect competitors alongside your primary type.
